Mississippi Landscapes

SFC JD Berentis looks down upon the Mississippi River

It was record high temperatures for Dubuque, Iowa as we descended upon the vast backdrop of the Mississippi River. The weekend kicked off by a demonstration into the Kennedy Mall parking lot. We performed for over 800 guests of the Cedar Rapids Recruiting Station.  After the demonstration the Team members were honored to speak with many potential recruits and their families about the lifestyle of today’s modern Army Soldier.  The Team members were also able to sign autographs, take pictures and even received help repacking their parachutes from the audience.

Following our previous jump in to Kennedy Mall we traveled to AY Park where we landed next to the beautiful Mississippi River.  The Gold Demonstration Team performed their Mass show forming the shape of a spider in the sky.

We closed out the weekend by bringing our own Fireworks into Dubuque.  Gold Team members performed a second jump into AY Park.  The second jump was a night pyrotechnic mass formation jump.  If you have never had a chance to see a night time parachute demonstration with pyrotechnics it is well worth it!  Happy Independence Day and Blue Skies.  Be sure to check back next week, as Gold team will be in Rifle, CO.
