On August 26 and 27 Gold Team traveled to Brunswick Maine for the “Great State of Maine Airshow” The Team performed our signature night jump with pyro before two thousand spectators on Friday night. The dark night skies were lit up by the jumpers pyro trails. Many of the spectators would even say that the demonstrators even looked like UFO’s screaming out of the sky. Unfortunately the airshow encountered bad weather on Saturday morning and the Team was only able to perform one more jump on Saturday evening, our Full Show.

The Full Show was an impressive sight for the airshow. SGT Tom Pryjda performed our cutaway maneuver with an incredible heart pounding excitement to the crowd. Also SSG Matt Accord from our Tandem Team joined us over the weekend to help us perform our full show. SSG Accord is a native of Maine and was joined by his family for a wonderful show.

Unfortunately Hurricane Irene dampened the weekends show on Sunday and the Airshow was cancelled. The Team is now on it’s way home and preparing for our next show, NAS PAX RIVER.
