Day two for the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) started with an award luncheon for marketing efforts throughout the 2011 Air Show season. Not only were the US Army Parachute Team depicted in several of the advertisements developed by some of the awarded Air Shows, we attended the first and second place venues for best Air Show marketing plan (which had a combined attendance of 750,000). The ICAS awards luncheon recognized event organizers winners in categories covering newspaper ads, posters, radio spots, television commercials, and web sites as well as the overall marketing plan.Two more open floor sessions allowed some new event organizers to approach our booth to work us into their Air Show, and older events we are familiar with stopped by as well to further coordinate the 2012 season. The Sanicole Air Show organizers stopped by to thank us for attending their 2011 show, and we thanked them with a Golden Knight award for excellence. Stay tuned for the third and final day tomorrow!
