The Black Demonstration team of the United States Army parachute team the Golden Knights had the privilege of delivering the game football into Georgia Southern University’s 2012 Joint Services Military Appreciation Day on 13th October, it couldn’t have been a better day the sky was blue and the winds were light, giving the black demonstration team the perfect conditions to execute a precision freefall parachute jump.
With only a small window of opportunity available and 12 minutes left on the game clock, SFC Brian Sealing lead the team in freefall from 4000’ to deliver the game ball. SSG Chris Clark and SGT Matt Navarro executed a down plane formation into the stadium flying the Georgia state flag with SGT Jon Lopez at the top of the stack waiting for the precise moment to unfurl the nation’s colors and land on the last note. All in all it was an amazing demonstration not just for the jumpers and the school itself but the soldiers that the golden knights represent as well.
