Stanford Rain

Black Team travels to the west coast to share the Black and Gold with Stanford, California. Flying over Foster Field, the Team stepped out into the darkness from 3,000 feet to make their grand entrance. Vanessa Vaquez of Miami Dade College jumps with SSG Aaron Figel

The Golden Knights travel to Homestead, FL every January for their annual 8-week intensive training cycle. So when we (Tandem Team) showed up to Homestead Air Reserve Base this last week to do some tandem jumps for local VIPs, all the locals were asking, “Where’s the rest of the team?”

We are pretty well-known around the base, and many familiar faces greeted us as we arrived

Gold Team halted in Houston Texas

This past weekend in Houston Texas the Gold Demonstration Team unfortunately made only one single jump into the great state of Texas.  SFC Dustin Peregrin was able to make the jumping narrator pass into the Kemah Boardwalk but unfortunately due to the unpredictable weather conditions the rest of the team was weathered out.

The Team was later scheduled to perform a daring jump into Reliant Stadium during the pre-game show of the Houston Texans NFL game on Sunday.  However the Reliant Stadium managers had to make a weather call 1 hour prior to the jump and decided to close the retractable roof thus terminating our demonstration jump.  Although the team was very disappointed in not being able to jump before the fans we were able to make an appearance on the field in helping to welcome our 41st President George H. W. Bush and the Houston Texans to the field.  The Texans would later win the game 30-12 over the Browns.

Gold Team is now on its way to Fort Jackson South Carolina in preparing our next jump into a basic training graduation.
