Team Work In The Windy City

The Golden Knights are back from a mid season break and are in full swing starting off the second half of the demonstration season on North Avenue Beach in Chicago, Illinois.  We rarely see conditions as surreal as this past weekend with blue skies from sea level to the tops of the heavens.  The weather cooperated perfectly to allow the Golden Knights to perform our Mass formations. However this year Gold team and Tandem team joined together to create large formations of jumpers.  The crowd enjoyed the shock and awe factor as the team landed one after another perfectly executing target accuracy. Members of the Gold, US Army Parachute Team, Golden Knights burst through the beautiful glimmering blue skies of the Atlantic coast for the opening of Thunder Down Under Air and Water Show at precisely 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning. Thousands of excited fans lined the Boardwalk, filled the beaches and over 1,600 boats were surrounding the waters hundreds of yards from the beach along the island from Brigantine down to Ventnor. Strong Finish to First Half of Season


The Golden Knights are regulars at the annual Dayton Vectran Air Show in Ohio, so when Gold Team arrived in town this last weekend was like seeing some old friends. The show hosted nearly 30,000 spectators, from first-timers to seasoned vets. The weather was great all weekend and made the show enjoyable for everyone…not least of all the jumpers! (more…)
