On Sunday in Martinsburg, WV’s the weather was much improved over Saturday, and the team was able to get both performances off the ground. For the first show the Gold Demonstration Team was able to put together a hybrid formation, which included both flyers falling belly to earth, and feet first. The tandem team was also able to take their passenger, Jamie Burke from WHAG news station, from Saturday’s show, and she was not disappointed with her freefall experience. (more…)
Several members of the Tandem Team returned to our home training site in Laurinburg, NC this week. The Team has been busy this summer traveling the country taking our tandem operations to the American People.
We have performed tandem camps in Beckley, WV; Ottawa, IL; Chicago IL; Cincinnati, OH and Addison TX. Today we had another special guest with us for a once in a lifetime opportunity. Jennifer Cobb a female truck driver in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series wanted to see what 120 MPH felt like outside of her truck. SSG Joe Abeln gave the tandem briefing with cameras rolling from FOX Sports NASCAR. (more…)

The Golden Knights are once again blazing the trail and setting the standard for all to follow, as they embrace the world of social media. Several members of the Team attended a blogging/social media conference this past weekend in Dallas, Texas and brought back a wealth of information to use in order to further the mission of the Team, which is to connect America with her Army.
Now more than ever, the internet affords organizations the opportunity to reach a huge audience, extending beyond the traditional air show audiences. Americans can learn about the Golden Knights from the comfort of their own home. The Golden Knights began using Facebook over a year ago and Twitter just this year to build a following for the Team and to allow fans to keep up with coming events. The Team already has more than 500 followers on Twitter and more than 4,700 fans on Facebook.
